You can always count on your friends

I always buy a yearbook every year from my school so that I can remember my students. This year I am having each of my students sign - no penalties as long as it isn't too hideously bad. Here is what one of the girls in my first block shared:

Happiness is like peeing on yourself. Everyone can see it, but only you can feel it's warmth.

I'm not sure I totally agree - I think the warmth of happiness can spread - but it's an interesting perspective! Did I mention my students are between 13 and 16? Mmmm hmmmm...
